Precautionswhen fishing on foot in Southern Brittany
Like any leisure activity, fishing on foot requires a few precautions. Before going to the fishing spot, check the tide times, the weather forecast and the sanitation level of the fishing spot (see the results published by the DDASS and posted by the communes at the
Quimiac tourist office
and in Mesquer town hall).
Other instructions must also be followed:
- Do not fish on a park granted to a professional
- Respect minimum shellfish sizes and quantities: Mussels: 4cm and 5 kg per person per trip, cockles: 3cm and 5 kg, clams: 4cm and 3 kg.
- Shovels, forks and rakes are forbidden; only knives and hand scrapers are permitted.
